[Food Review] Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Nuggets (UPDATED)

Wendy’s has the absolute best chicken nuggets around, no questions asked. And now, here recently, a new form of that unparalleled nugget has been introduced to a market starved for new flavors of processed chicken to dip into their Chocolate Frosties. And what better way to serve up a new variation of a classic nugget than by making it spicy?

I’m not going to lie, I was very excited to try these. As I’ve already made quite obvious, I love Wendy’s nuggets. I also love spicy foods, especially spicy chicken. However delicious my dreams of these warm little chicken nuggets were, the real life things are nothing short of a disappointment. Continue reading

[Food Review] Hardee’s Monster Biscuit

hardees-monster-biscuitThe food world is full of choices. White or wheat, rare or well-done, medium or large, regular fries or curly, single or double, hash browns or home fries, etc. The list goes on for what seems like forever and, quite frankly, it is overwhelming! But of all of the panic and pressure caused by any choice I’ve ever had to make at a restaurant, nothing has been as difficult to overcome as “ham, sausage, or bacon?”

Hardee’s understands me. They know me. They get who I am. They understand that making such a decision borders on impossible for some people, and they have a solution. The Monster Biscuit: ham, sausage, egg, and bacon all shoved into a single breakfast sandwich. Hallelujah. Continue reading

[Food Review] Bob Evans Sausage, Egg and Cheese Microwavable Homestyle Breakfast Burritos

bobevansmicrowaveburritoBreakfast Burritos have been my favorite morning meal for as long as I can remember. There is just something comforting about having all of the essential breakfast foods wrapped into a soft tortilla shell.

While I definitely prefer making my own, due to the creative and artistic freedom presented by the nature of the burrito, there are times when I just don’t feel like putting the effort into making one, nor do I possess the initiative required to drive to Sonic or Hardee’s. That’s why I recently picked up these microwavable Sausage, Egg and Cheese burritos from Bob Evans. Continue reading

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey guys, I hope everyone has been having a spectacular Thanksgiving day. I am beyond stuffed, as is the case with every year. I ate way too much, vomited, had desert, vomited, vomited, had another plate of food, and vomited again. And I don’t regret it a single bit.

[Food Review] The Big Hardee From Hardee’s

When I reviewed the ho-hum Fried Bologna Biscuit from Hardee’s, I talked a little bit about a sandwich called the Big Carl. For those of you who don’t know, a chain of burger joints called Carl’s Jr. is owned by the same company behind Hardee’s. It was Carl’s that first revealed a sandwich called the Big Carl, whose major selling point was the inclusion of more meat and more cheese than a Big Mac from McDonald’s, only for less money.

Burger lovers without access to a Carl’s Jr. can rejoice, because Hardee’s is finally offering a similar burger, dubbed the Big Hardee. There are some key differences to the two burgers, such as the Big Hardee offering three patties of meat where the Big Carl provides eaters with two slightly larger patties. Continue reading

[Food Review] Volcano Nachos

Volcano Nachos tempOverview:

The Volcano Menu has recently began to feel stale for me. I’ve eaten countless Volcano Tacos and refuse to meet Taco Bell’s price demands with the Volcano Burrito unless it’s on a special occasion (happy anniversary, honey), and the magic was just starting to fade. Then lo and behold I receive an email from Everyview reader Troy, who runs the stellar energy drink review site edjunkie.com, informing me of the Volcano Nachos. This surprised me because I had been waiting for that Volcano Crunchwrap our friends over at Grub Grade had predicted. Still, I decided to check into it as soon as possible to see what the Volcano Menu had in store for me.

I’ve ordered them, eaten them, and my bowels violently rejected them, so the only thing that’s left is to review them. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s review time. Continue reading

Review: Doritos Late Night Tacos at Midnight

doritos_late_night_tacos_at_midnightOverview:

You know how usually when you grab a bag of Taco flavored chips, they don’t really taste like tacos? Instead they possess a flavor that has been established as the official artificial taco flavor for potato-based snacks? Well those days are over, my friends, and it’s all thanks to Doritos.

The new Late Night Tacos at Midnight flavored Doritos are pure evolution in the most evolutionary manner possible. No longer must we settle for tortilla chips that claim to be the flavor of authentic Mexican cuisine. No longer must we take the lies fed to us in the form of salt and artificial seasoning on top of a corn chip. We now have something to believe in, the future of all snacking. Ladies and gentlemen, this is evolution in the works.

Review: Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch

Overview:

Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch

Man, Taco Bell’s been making a LOT of new products lately. The Volcano Taco and Triple Steak Burrito are two example of fine, triple A food products that deserve permanent spots on the menu. The Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch has way too many syllables and is a lot less satisfying. While I order at least one Volcano Taco every time I go to TB and order the occasional Triple Steak Burrito, I don’t think I will ever order this again. It’s not bad, but it’s no where near as good as most other items on the menu.
