[The Everyview Update] 12/20/09

Hey guys. Not too much to report on this week. You may notice a bit of a dip in reviews being published for the next few days. Christmas is right around the corner and we’re all busy making plans, shopping, and making any last minute addition to our list for Santa.

There are some changes happening to the site. Nothing big, but a few widget changes here and there. There are also some problems popping up due to code changes and such. If you notice any bugs feel free to us our email link at the bottom of the sidebar to let us know, as it would be greatly appreciated!

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone. I’ll see you before the New Year.

[The Everyview Update] 12/13/09

Last week I was shopping for Xmas gifts for friends and family and was approached by a young foreign woman selling manicure kits. After asking for a second of my time, she took me by the thumb and began to polish it with some magic rectangle that made my nail very shiny, all while talking to me about the fantastic deal she was going to give me on these perfect holiday gifts.

I’m not a sucker. I don’t waste money on overpriced novelties or fall for fraudulent salespeople’s tactics. I walked up to her with that attitude. I figured I would humor her. Let her talk, go along with her crap while being a loud and obnoxious douche bag to make her stand look like a joke and make her feel like an idiot for asking a young, financially struggling college student to buy her expensive crap. I was not, under any circumstances, going to buy a manicure kit.

I left with two.

The fact that she was very attractive is what made me give her a chance. The fact that she had a hot foreign accent made me stay. And the fact that she didn’t mind me staring at her awesome cleavage while she rattled on about some insignificant crap involving my cuticles made me buy. She was so hot, and I am such an idiot. A broke idiot. All because this hot foreigner let me stare at her boobies.

Anyway, no updates this week.  See you guys tomorrow!

I’m tired.

We got a new writer. Phil. He will be doing some video game articles and reviews whenever he isn’t busy running his own site, SuperPhillip Central. We’re hoping to have him join forces with us full time and become our Games Editor, so we’ll see how that turns out in the end.

Other than that, it’s December. Christmas is coming up, as are the other holidays (forgive me for not being culturally educated on Catholic and Hispanic traditions, amongst others), and that means one thing. PRESENTS! I’ll be asking everyone for cash this year so I can afford this HD camcorder I’ve had my eye on for a while. Video reviews soon? We’re probably way too lazy, but we do agree that it is a good idea.

I’m going to bed.

Hello. It is I, someone new. Yes. Considerably.

Hello, Everyviewers, I’m known as Phil, and I am a new contributor here at this fine, glorious, excellent, remarkable, tremendous (fair amount of sucking up– move on) site. I have and still do run a video game blog of my own entitled SuperPhillip Central. I have done so for about a year and half for the sole reason of combining two loves of mine into one: gaming and writing. Made sense to me at least.

A little bit about me– I’m 23, and I live in the Midwest. I’m signed up to go back to college after a two year hiatus, and I’m hoping to major in theater. There’s enough drama in my life as is anyway. Why not have some for fun with acting?

My purpose here at Everyview will be to contribute game reviews and occasional editorials as I deem necessary… or when drunk. Whichever comes first, I imagine. No, I kid. I don’t drink. I’m supposedly in the running for Games Editor, but we’ll see how much work that entails first. Perhaps that drunk remark took me out of the running…

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you around on Everyview!

– Phil

[The Everyview Update] 11/29/09

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and many of us are just now recovering from turkey overdose, but we have been hard at work here at Everyview. For a while we’ve been planning a series of Holiday Buyer’s Guides to help our readers make it through this holiday shopping rush. We’ve already published seven different guides, and we still aren’t done! Go ahead and browse through the ones we’ve already done, and make sure you keep checking back every day for the remaining entries into our series of 2009 Holiday Buyer’s Guides.

Aside from that, this week we are going to be publishing a Top 10 Albums list. It isn’t a definitive “best albums” list, but instead Troy from edjunkie.com and each member of the Everyview staff picked the albums they would take along to a safehold in the event of a Zombie apocalypse. Get psyched.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey guys, I hope everyone has been having a spectacular Thanksgiving day. I am beyond stuffed, as is the case with every year. I ate way too much, vomited, had desert, vomited, vomited, had another plate of food, and vomited again. And I don’t regret it a single bit.

Get back to your families and friends, Everyviewers, and enjoy the rest of your holiday!

[The Everyview Update] 11/22/2009

Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is only a couple days away. This year has gone by extremely fast, and time shows no signs of slowing down before the holiday season. That’s why we here at Everyview have decided to construct some Holiday Buyer’s Guides to meet the needs of our wide demographic.

Guides for gamers, gear heads, movie and TV buffs, music lovers, energy drink addicts and more are all planned for publication Black Friday. There’s going to be something for everybody, so make sure you stop by the site for tons and tons of gift ideas the holiday season.

Other than that there isn’t much to talk about. The lucky winners from the Starbucks Giveaway should be receiving their prizes in about a week’s time, maybe a little bit longer. That’s about it for the updates, we’ll see you guys tomorrow!

[The Everyview Update] 11/15/09

Not much to talk about this week. We announced the winners for our Starbucks Contest, so thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations to the five winners. If you didn’t win this time, don’t get discouraged, just keep coming back and keep an eye out for our next giveaway.

Before I head out, make sure you be our fan on Facebook if you aren’t already. We use our page to post links to our latest articles and reviews, and it’s the only place you can find out what reviews we’re planning on publishing in the near future, so that you know if reading is even worth your time.

Take care guys, see you tomorrow.
