[Energy Drink Review] Nitrous Monster: Anti Gravity

nitrousmonsterantigravityReview:

Anti Gravity has a powerfully fruity aroma that tickles your nostrils and gets your mouth watering in anticipation. The scent is clearly pineapple, possibly with a little mango and citrus undertones, but I’m not sure. The aroma seems very natural, with little chemical help to achieve the lovely pineapple aroma. But while the scent is delicious, it strongly reminds me of several other drinks on the market, primarily Monster’s own M-80.

Like the aroma, Anti Gravity possess an extremely tropical flavor consisting primarily of pineapple with a slight tangy zing that reminds me of mango. It’s very sweet, and very delicious. Disappointingly, though, it is also very normal. Where Super Dry and Killer-B have very unique flavors that you won’t find anywhere else, Anti Gravity has a flavor you can find all over the place in drinks like …Lost Five-0 and M-80.

Thankfully the nitrogenation saves it from being nothing more than a cookie cutter tropical fruit energy drink. It has a frothy and bubbly textures that actually intensifies the pineapple flavor, and actually feels like pineapple when slothing around between your teeth and gums. It’s an awesome feeling that goes excellently with the fruity flavor.

Just as the name ‘Nitrous’ implies, Nitrous Monster will kick you into high gear almost immediately after drinking it. The kick is absolutely superb and lasts a good three hours with no noticeable crash. In true Monster fashion, the boost is entirely solid, won’t give you the jitters or shakes and is, unsurprisingly, of the highest quality.

Nitrous Monster comes packaged in a 12 oz single-serving container with a resealable CAP CAN lid for $1.99. Two bucks for 12 oz makes this slightly more expensive than industry standard pricing, but since there is no other energy drink on the market that is made with Nitrous Oxide, Nitrous Monster sets its own standard. And in my opinion, the unique texture presented by the Nitrous is more than enough to warrant the slightly higher price tag.

Final Words:

Anti Gravity has an awesome, fruity aroma with a tropical, tangy flavor that fits perfectly with the foamy, frothy texture brought about by the unique nitrogenation of the beverage. In fact, the nitrous oxide is the only thing that keeps Anti Gravity from being “normal” energy drink, but this is easily the least innovative and unique of the three Nitrous Monster flavors. That also makes it the “safe bet” for someone wanting to try the Nitrous Monsters so I highly recommend it for someone wanting to sample the innovative new line of drinks.

  1. This is actually my favorite of all the Nitrous Monsters, and I don’t think it tastes “standard” or “mundane” at all. It’s absolutely delicious and is easily a regular purchase for me.

  2. @ Daryl
It is delicious, but like he said, there are drinks that taste just like this whereas the other two have no comparable drinks.

I don’t know why, but this is the only flavor that sits on my stomach really heavily. Maybe I’m just weird, but whatever.

  3. I just finished a can and loved it. You’re right, it is reminiscent of M-80, but I have to like this one for the interesting gimmick and packaging.

  4. I love this product and am absolutely hooked on it. I like the flavor and the packaging. I am a big fan of any energy drink in an aluminum can that has a lid. I have got my wife and a good friend to try and it and they both said it was good and they are not regular energy drink users…;)

  5. I drank this one and it ended up making me sick and my throat hurts like hell. If it is nitrated then wat the in the hell was monster thinking.

  6. And I love energy drinks, I have one at least every three days. and this one tasted like heaven yet it made sick.
