[Restaurant Review] King Gyro’s of Terre Haute, IN

Here’s a portion of a review on Does It Hit The Spot:

The most important aspect of any restaurant is its food, and in that aspect King Gyro’s performs phenomenally. The first thing you’ll notice while looking at the menu is the great amount of selection and diversity, ranging from burgers to fish to Italian beef  to BBQ chicken to poor boy to chicken nuggets to tenderloins to sausage to gyros, and the list goes on. If you’re a human being with a stomach, there is something on this menu for you.

Aside from having great selection, King Gyro’s food is absolutely delicious. I’ve been numerous times in the past couple of weeks, sampling something different each time I go, and everything I’ve tasted is just plain awesome. Easily the most delectable menu item is their gyro, which is such a fantastically amazing sandwich that I’m having trouble putting into words how phenomenally delicious it is. Inside of a gyro, you’ll find a very generous portion of their fantastic gyro meat, which is tender and flavorful, topped with fresh tomatoes, onions, and a cool sour cream cucumber sauce, and it’s all wrapped in a delicious piece of pita bread. Everything about it is just to die for. I went there with my girlfriend Kim, who is a vegetarian, and they even went out of their way to make her a vegetarian-style gyro that she says was delicious.

[Restaurant Review] Miko’s Cafe

Here’s a portion of David Roshinksi’s review on Does It Hit The Spot:

There are three things that I love about Sundays: a nice long drive with no traffic, acoustic versions of great songs on the radio, and a really good, hearty breakfast. Today I got to do all three on the way home north of Boston.

Miko’s was a nicely designed and decorated café with three sections, small tables up front, larger tables and booths in the middle and the diner counter with high backs where I sat in the back. At the counter there was a brilliantly ornate antique cash register more for show than function. Up top in the inlay was a large flat screen TV that softly chirped the news and built into the counter was a very appropriately placed foot rest.

[Restaurant Review] Sea Dog Brew Pub

Here’s a portion of David Roshinski’s review on DIHTS:

After interviewing with a brewpub before it opens, what is the next best place to have lunch with a old friend? Another brewpub of course! My friend Chris and I wanted to catch up since he just returned from Florida. Upon arriving the first small issue arose, the parking for the restaurant is quite small and I had a large boat trying to slowly push past cables into the water. However the view of the water from where I did get to park was well worth the minor frustration. The brewpub is located on the 3rd floor of the building and you can either take the stairs or industrial-looking elevator.

[Food Review] The Alamo

Here’s a portion of a review on Does It Hit The Spot.

A while back I reviewed Kringle’s Kafe’, one of the most likely lunch spots during a visit to Holiday World for many consumers. I was less than impressed with the quality, price, and the way the food sat on my stomach. Now I’m back with a review for one of the more popular dinner spots at the park, The Alamo.

Located at the heart of 4th of July, The Alamo is surrounded by rides like the Liberty Launch and the Lewis & Clark Trail, an attraction that sees visitors driving extremely slow go carts modeled after old cars around a set track. Lewis and Clark didn’t have cars. This has nothing to do with the restaurant at hand, but this just infuriates me. What the hell, Holiday World? Go to school. They teach you that shit.
