Review: Power Horse Energy Drink

powerhorseenergydrinkOverview:

Power Horse Energy Drink is best known for its role in the 2008 assassin film Wanted. Like Brawndo, it’s another energy drink you know from a film but probably had no idea existed in reality, so I’m here to tell you all about it. And like Brawndo, you very likely won’t find it in stores but I’ve got the hook up. While it’s true the people behind Power Horse didn’t send me samples to review, my good buddy Mike Bricker recently ordered a case off the internet and was kind enough to give me a can for review. *Internet Hug*

So does Power Horse prove to be an energy drink worth your hard earned cash or is it just a worthless novelty drink from Austria? Yeah, Austria.

Review: Health Energy Potion

health-energy-potionOverview:

Health Potion is from the same company that brought you Mana, the original Energy Shot meant to look like it came straight out of a video game, which is an idea I love. Combining two of the greatest inventions of all time into one is always a good idea. Well, almost. Anyway, Health Potion uses a unique blend of herbs and ditches the overused Berry or Citrus flavors often found in energy shots for a Cinnamon Apple taste.

Oh, and it replenishes 160 HP.

Review: Java Monster Irish Blend

irish-java-monsterOverview:

The Irish blend of Java Monster is a unique breed. Like the formerly reviewed Russian, Irish is essentially meant to be a non-alcoholic recreation of your favorite foreign liquor with a shot of Java Monster for extra flavor. The Russian, for instance, was essentially a virgin White Russian, and the Irish blend is, obviously, a virgin Irish Creme. Think Bailey’s. Without the booze.

Awesome? Let’s find out.

Review: Amp Energy Lightning

amp-energy-lightningOverview:

Amp has been making a ton of new flavors and blends lately, and I decided to review them. So far I’ve done the original and Revive, and now Lightning. This drink is meant to, like lighting, strike fast with a quick surge of energy. It gives a great boost, but expect a crash shortly after.

Straight from the can:

Amp Energy Lightning. Charge up your intensity.

The power of Amp Energy plus Lemonade flavor and a specially formulated blend of L-Carnitine, Guarana and B-vitamins for an explosive energizing bolt.

Amp Energy Lightning. More power to YOU.

Wow, that’s intense!

Review: Starbucks Cinnamon Dulce Energy+Coffee

starbucks-cinnamon-dulce1Overview:

A while back I reviewed that Vanilla blend of Starbucks’ Energy+Coffee DoubleShot line of drinks. The drink scored high with wonderful aroma and rich flavor, but got an unjustly low (I’ll explain that in the review) score in value, which ultimately lowered it’s score a little bit. I recently got my hands on the newest flavor of DoubleShot Energy+Coffee, Cinnamon Dulce, and it’s delicious.

Straight from the can:

Your extra shot, Latin style. Starbucks DoubleShot Energy+Coffee Cinnamon Dulce. A mighty brew inspired by traditional Latino beverages. A bit of coffee, vanilla, cinnamon and spice, supercharged with B vitamins, guaran and ginseng to keep you going. Are you ready for more?

Review: Amp Energy Drink

amp-energy-drinkOverview:

A while back I posted a review of Amp Revive, a decent orange flavored spin-off of the original. Which I never reviewed. Until now. You may have noticed  I tend to have this problem with reviewing things out of order as I did with the Speedway branded Shockwave drinks. Oh well, get used to it.

Anyway, Amp is basically Mountain Dew on crack. Or that’s what it was originally meant to be, at least. Now the only reason the Mountain Dew logo is on the can is for brand recognition. People see the words Mountain and Dew, realize they love Mountain Dew, then pick a can of this up. I’m not sure why they keep doing it, but they fall for it time after time.

Review: Deton8 Energy Drink

deton8-energy-drinkOverview:

Deton8 is really the most generic energy drink I’ve ever had. It’s a Kroger brand, which isn’t surprising since the grocery store chain has it’s own brand for almost every product it carries. Most Kroger brand products are just as good as what they sit next to on the shelf, but this is an exception.

Everything about it is average and generic in every way. But it is possible for something to do the generic thing well and still have an impressive product. Deton8 doesn’t do that and is nothing more than generic.

So for a generic drink I present a generic review. Enjoy!

Review: Shockwave Energy

shockwave-energyOverview:

Last week I wrote a review of the Speedway exclusive energy drink, Shockwave Mango Energy Juice. Today I’m back with a review of of the original flavor, Shockwave Energy.

While I was impressed with the overall taste and quality of the Mango blend, I noted significant lack of kick and originality as being major factors to work against the otherwise impressive beverage. Does the original flavor get right all the things its off-spin missed?

Review: Neuro Fuel

neuro fuel

Yo! This review was the result of me buying a can from a bad batch of Neuro Fuel. This review is completely inaccurate to the actual drink, so go check out the review for the drink’s proper formula right here.

Overview:

Have you ever wondered what piss tasted like but never wanted to drink it? Now, for all the curious kids, there is a drink that lets you experience the sensation of drinking urine without being weird. Of course that’s not what the makers of Neuro Fuel were aiming for, but it’s what they accomplished.

Straight from the can:

Neuro Fuel may increase the brain’s healthy nerve function and structure to enhance coordination, intelligence, and recovery. Neuro Fuel may increase dopamine which plays a large role in motivation, concentration, desire, sexual function, and a sense of well being. Neuro Fuel may enhance serotonin which promotes a “happy feeling” along with calming anxiety, relieving depression and reducing the urge to overeat.

While it’s true that this is the worst tasting energy drink I’ve ever, ever had, it does do most of the things it claims it does in the above quote. Click Read More to find out how.

Review: Cocaine Energy

Cocaine Hot and Spicy

Overview:

Cocaine energy drink is one of the most sought after beverages in the industry due to the fact that next no store will carry and the only way to get it is through the drinks website. I’ve always wanted to taste the drink responsible for garnering so much flak from state and federal regulators, and mine is finally here. It’s review time!

Straight from the can:

Warning: This message is for the people who are too stupid to recognize the obvious. This product does not contain the drug Cocaine (duh). This product is not intended to be an alternative to an illicit street drug, and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

Awesome. Continue reading
