[Energy Review] Uranium Energy Powder (Yellow Cake)

Yes, you red the title right. Uranium is a member of the Nuclear Energy family of caffeinated candy powders, and it is easily the most awesomely flavored energy product I’ve ever come across. I mean, who doesn’t just love cake? It’s delicious!

But you already knew how awesome cake was. What you may not know is how awesome a cake-flavored energy powder actually is. Which I don’t understand. It’s caffeine-infused candy powder that tastes like cake.

Review:

I admit to being skeptical at first, but a quick whiff of the magical yellow powder from inside the test tube container eased my doubt a bit. Uranium smells almost exactly like yellow cake batter, so delicious, rich and sweet. It’s really a treat to just sit there and smell the tasty powder, but I must stress this fact. DO. NOT. SNORT. Seriously, it doesn’t matter what kind of idiot you are or who you are trying to impress. It won’t be funny. It will hurt. You will regret it.

Now that that’s cleared up, let’s talk taste. Uranium very accurately recreates the flavor of cake. Delicious, moist cake. It’s really almost exactly like eating a spoonful of Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix straight from the box. The powder feels wonderfully soft in your mouth and has a very fine texture which keeps it from becoming too overwhelming. There is, just like with the other two flavors, a very obvious hint of caffeine bitterness that may turn a lot of people off, but it’s not overbearing and seasoned energy vets likely won’t even pick it up.

I’ve talked about the wonderful kick twice before when I reviewed the other two flavors, so I’m not going to go too deep into it here, but I will recap. It’s awesome. Taking the powder in small quantities is definitely the way to go, as it will give you a rather enjoyable energy boost as long as you make it last. Taking the whole thing at once will result in a huge kick that only lasts a very short amount of time.

Uranium Energy Powder comes packaged in a brilliant test-tube container, which holds 8 grams of the energizing dust, for around $2 each. If you head on over to the Harcos Laboratories store you can get a small discount if you increase the bulk of your order to a 12 pack ($22) or a 36 pack ($65). Definitely reasonably priced. I recommend getting a smaller quantity first to see if you like it enough to drop $65 on it, though.

Final Words:

Uranium is my favorite flavor of Nuclear Energy thanks to its original flavor concept and stellar execution. The kick is excellent, it’s fairly priced, and it tastes like cake. Effing cake! I suggest this flavor of Nuclear Energy Powders most highly to anyone looking for a very sweet, very unique energy product.

  1. Sounds AWESOME. I worry that the bitterness would be too much of a turn off for me though.
