I don’t usually get into indie games, which are usually just prettier versions of games I could play for free on the internet, but something about zombies makes me do things I wouldn’t normally do. The title alone is enough to catch my attention, but the solid five-star community rating sold me. Oh, the $1 price tag didn’t hurt either.

There isn’t a ton to say about I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT, as it’s certainly a simple game. The action is fast, the music is hilarious, and the concept is totally solid. That being said, it’s totally worth the 80 MS points.

When you begin playing, you’ll go to a simple menu screen. From here you can view high scores, join the game, and begin playing. There’s only one mode of play, and the multi-player is local play only. This is somewhat disappointing, but considering the cheap price it isn’t really a big deal.

The game is a simple twin stick shooter, meaning you move with the left analog stick, and direct your fire with the right analog stick. You’re thrown right into the action, fighting off hordes of zombies and other enemies with various weapons and powerups. I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT bares a strong resemblance to Geometry Wars, but with zombies.

The sound in I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT is absolutely hilarious, because it’s all one long song. The song ranges from a over the top rock song with screeching vocals about zombies, to intense techno beats. The game is interesting, because it always seems to match the music excellently. This is a result of the audio-synced visuals, which Imaedmove in rhythm with the song. Flashing lights will correspond with the crashing beats of the song to add a level of intensity.

On the negative side, the visuals are still lacking. Models are muddy and not very interesting, and the lighting effects sometimes make seeing difficult. The bright colors are still nice, and the game runs smoothly no matter what’s going on.

Final Words:

For such a cheap game, you really are getting a good deal. There’s a lot worse things to spend a dollar on, and there are few better things. I recommend I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT to anyone who is just looking for a fun arcade game at a very low price.
