[Energy Drink Review] MonaVie EMV Energy Supplement

MonaVieEMVOverview:

A while back I got my hands on a couple of cans of Verve, an extremely healthy energy supplement with powerful antioxidant attributes. Compared to other similar products, I thought Verve was probably the best energy supplement out there. But that was before I tried MonaVie EMV.

Review:

After popping the top on my can of EMV, I was comforted to discover a sweet, fruity aroma with a strong vitamin under scent that strongly reminded me of Punch! Energy. I can’t say I enjoyed the powerful accompanying aroma of the vitamins, but at least it isn’t pungent and overpowering like Verve.

Relieved I wasn’t dealing with another Verve, which is a great product but just isn’t my cup of tea, I was ready to dive into to the drink. The first sip yields a powerful berry flavor with a fruity undertone that is immediately followed by a slightly unpleasant aftertaste brought about by the strong vitamin content. This aftertaste slowly dissipates and, once subsided, doesn’t seem to return for the rest of the beverage. The drink has a great balance between sweet and sour flavors that makes your mouth water and gives the drink a very unique feel.

EMV, like Verve, doesn’t really provide any notable kick whatsoever. Instead it offers an uplifting feeling that increases your ability to concentrate and perform. It’s a really pleasant feeling that lasts a good long while before slowly disappearing, leaving behind no noticeable crash or exhaustion. I found the effects of EMV to be far more enjoyable than Verve or most other healthy supplements I’ve tried.

As with all supplements, EMV isn’t cheap. A single 8.4 oz can is going to run you about $2.80, which seems absurd compared to your average energy drink, but by supplement standards this is right on par with its competition.

Final Words:

MonaVie EMV isn’t an energy drink, but it’s a damn good supplement. It tastes fantastic compared to most similar products and provides a terrific boost that will increase alertness and ability to perform and concentrate. If you’re looking for a product in the vein of Monster or Cocaine, then you’re going to want to look somewhere else. If you’re looking for a great tasting healthy supplement, I highly recommend giving this a shot.
