An Ode to Mr. Corey

I know writing personal articles about people is usually prohibited on the site, but I thought it would be okay to make an exception for who is quite possibly one of the greatest men to walk this planet. And since I run this site, who’s going to tell me I can’t?

I just received word from regular reader Brandon Majors that Mr. George Corey is retiring from his position as the Electronics Teacher at Terre Haute North Vigo High School. This news is both happy and sad at the same time. Happy because he deserves his retirement more than any other old fart out there, yet sad because generations of knowledge hungry brats will never have the chance to know him.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know what Mr. Corey did for me. He inspired me. He pushed me to achieve something with my life because he actually cares, not because it was in the job description. Mr. Corey is easily one of the greatest men I’ve ever had the chance to meet and I am eternally grateful for having the chance to know him.

And you can ask anyone who is close to me, I talk fondly of Mr. Corey a lot. He is the definition of the word “man,” not just because he’s a sexy beast who all ladies want to nibble on, but because he has a pure heart full of love for anyone who will accept it.

And my girlfriend will openly admit her jealousy of Mr. Corey, as he has a position on my list of people who should live forever and she doesn’t. And that’s a big deal. I mean, he ranks up there with Adam Sandler, Hulk Hogan, Charizard, and the Green Ranger as the most influential people in my life.

And for all of you who have never been granted the opportunity to know the man who shaped me more than most of my family members, if it wasn’t for him there would be no Everyview. So shut up and be grateful for his existence whether you know him or not.

Mr. Corey, you were a great teacher and you are probably the single greatest man I’ve ever met. You provided vast influence for myself and hundreds of people just like me and I’m sure everyone you’ve ever taught is just as grateful for you as I am.

Enjoy your retirement, you deserve it.

  2. Yeah, Mr corey is deffinatly one of the few “teachers” left in the world, he doesnt just spit up text book pages and lame homework assignments, he pushed all of us to think, to use what we had to achieve what we wanted, His retirement will suck for those who never knew the man, the legend, the Mr. Corey
